A Polish combo that “masterfully blends jazz, ambient, dance, ‘90s hip-hop beats, electronica, and a subtle touch of free-associative noise” (Qobuz Mgazine)

The pre-eminent Polish label Astigmatic Records (see Omasta, EABS) has brightened the musical landscape for some time now: “We put out fresh and distinctive music drawing on jazz, electronic and hip hop”.

One of their artists is the amazing Błoto (PL). Their latest release Grzybnia was described by Dusty Groove as "Beautifully creative work from this hip Polish combo – a group who work in post-jazz territory that's similar to some of the more revolutionary work on the London scene in recent years – but one who've also got a special vibe that's very much their own".

Qobuz Magazine describes them as one of 2024’s hidden gems: “The group masterfully blends jazz, ambient, dance, ‘90s hip-hop beats, electronica, and a subtle touch of free-associative noise, creating a sound that is perfectly off-kilter yet entirely cohesive”.

As they’ll perform in the record shop Paul’s Boutique (a reference to the Beastie Boys’ classic 1998 album) during ‘Dilla Month’ this spring, in tribute to the hip-hop legends, we can’t wait to see what they bring to BRDCST.
