Japanese sound artist and kindred spirit of organ enthusiasts Kali Malone and Anna von Hausswolff

The Japanese sound artist FUJI||||||||||TA (JP) is, together with kindred spirits such as Kali Malone, Sarah Davachi and Anna Von Hausswolff, responsible for the renaissance of the organ in contemporary experimental music. Taking a holistic approach to his work, blurring the boundaries between visuals and sound, he delves into the behaviour of sound and the ways in which we listen. 
He came to BRDCST in 2022 with a homemade organ. In this edition, he presents A School of Sardines in the Pipe using a pipe organ, a microphone and an airbrush. Unlike his previous work, the emphasis here lies on rhythm and intensity. FUJI||||||||||TA describes his latest work as unpredictable but characteristically groovy.
