Dame Area (ES) emerged over ten years ago in Màgia Roja, a peerless label and legendary breeding ground for (noise) experiments in Barcelona. It should come as no surprise that this Catalan-Italian duo is one of the most intense electronic acts of today. 

Their name – Spanish for ‘give me space’ – perfectly captures the raw, unfettered energy with which they conquer the stage. On their latest record Toda la verdad sobre Dame Area, they blend the percussion of Einstürzende Neubauten with flamenco rhythms and Suicide’s electronics. 

With mechanical sounds and industrial noise, Silvia Konstance (vocals, percussion) and Viktor L. Crux (synths, percussion) create a unique mix of tribal wave, EBM and industrial electronics. The Quietus: “There’s a feeling of urgency, that their performances could break apart at any moment”.
