With more than 25 years on the clock now, duo Wolf Eyes (US) from Detroit, Michigan, has made an indelible mark on the improv/noise music of the last few decades. Nate Young and John Olson’s output is estimated to exceed around 350 releases. They have appeared on both Olson’s very own American Tapes label, as well as on several prestigious labels like Sub Pop or Jack White’s Third Man Records.
They’ve collaborated with iconic underground names like Anthony Braxton, Merzbow, Sonic Youth, Dominick Fernow (Prurient) or Jaimie Branch (RIP). During their latest visit to AB in 2024, the duo left another smashing impression and confirmed that they still stand at the forefront of the avant-garde/noise scene.
